The Problem It Solves
When a glass railing or aluminum railing system is fixed to a timber deck frame, the load transfers through the railing post into the rim board — and from there into the joist connection. A weak or inconsistent rim board to joist connection is the most common structural failure point in deck railing installations, and the most common reason railing systems fail building inspection. The JV100 replaces all of that with a single bracket, installed from one side only.
